About Samesa Ceramics

Welcome to Samesa Ceramics, a community-focused pottery studio in Vancouver offering creative, beginner-friendly experiences in clay. We specialize in small-group pottery workshops, multi-week pottery classes, and private events that encourage curiosity, play, and connection.

Whether you're joining us for a one-time class or looking to deepen your skills, our studio is a welcoming space to explore handbuilding techniques, create functional pieces, and enjoy the meditative rhythm of working with clay.

Meet the Artist: Kirsten

Hi, I’m Kirsten! I’m a Filipina-Canadian ceramic artist based in Vancouver, BC. I’ve been practicing ceramics since 2010 and am the former founder of the Mt. Pleasant Clay Club.

My creative process is inspired by the ever-changing world around us. I believe that pottery should be fun, low-pressure, and accessible to everyone — whether you're a first-timer or a returning clay enthusiast.

You can find my studio at the City Centre Artist Lodge at #209-2111 Main Street in Vancouver.

Meet the Studio Manager: Churro

Churro is our beloved Beagle-Chihuahua mix and the real boss around here. As Studio Manager, his main responsibilities include greeting guests, napping in the sun, and making sure no treat goes uneaten. He also takes his role as Head of Security very seriously (unless he’s sleeping, which is often).

Friendly and full of personality, Churro is always happy to meet new friends (especially the ones with snacks). Keep an eye out for him during your visit. He might just wander over for a quick hello or a chin scratch.
